Visitors to websites in today’s fast pace information overload society are quick to leave a website if they do not get the information or content that they expect. That is why good website design and good content is the key to giving your visitors what they want. They desire to consume your information, so make it easy for them by catching their attention within a few seconds or less. You will be able to do that with the following 6 Tips even if you are not a web designer it is a good strategy to know these content writing strategy in order to draw your readers to your site and give them an enjoyable experience.

Tip 1: Think of Your Visitor

You have to solve their problem in a clear, concise, and inviting way. You need to think of “Why” are you developing the website. What is the purpose? Most people develop a website because they have something to say. If you don’t have something to say then your website will grow old and eventually die, and it will seem outdated and grow stale. You need to first find out what you want to say with your website, and then find your audience that are interested in what you have to say. Then you need to find out if there is problems about that topic or explainations that the topic hasn’t been explored yet, and does your audenice care.

You also want to try to take a different stance on the solution to the problem. There are many solutions to one problem because some solutions are not the right fit for a particular visitor.

Once you find the solution for your audience they may become interested in growing a relationship with you. And eventualy being a customer if you try to sell a service or product or course.

Tip 2: Keep it Simple

Don’t try to cram your mission statement, contact information, blog posts, and more on each page. White space is always in style. Focus ion keeping your site simple. That will eventually help with other tips such as organization of your website. Keep your website on brand. If you don’t have a brand or layout guide make one for yourself.

Keep your message clear and concise as possible. It should draw people in and encourage them to navigate further.

Tip 3: Stay Organized

The navigation of your website needs to be organized and structured simply and in a logical order. Viewers shouldn’t have to click more than two or three times to get to any page. Your pages should have one purpose that is clearly defined through the headlines. Focus on the site’s readability. Make sure you choose easy to read fonts and colors that complement each other. Have small paragraphs and break up your content with bullet points to seperate and group information.

Tip 4: Design for All Screen Sizes

This means your website should be responsive. Long gone are the days of having more than one website for each of the screen sizes. Today you need to have ONE website that the content can scale to the size of the screen. Make navigation on mobile devices just as easy as it is on a desktop computer.

Tip 5: Quality Content

Content includes, text, videos, blog posts, testimonials, and more. Break up blog posts to improve readiblity. Try not to use a lot of industry speccific words unless that is the audience or unless there are no other words that is simpler to use.

Keep videos short and use graphics instead of words if it would convey the same information. Graphics are usually better if possible.

Tip 6: Capture Leads

You need to have an easy way to capture your leads. And automate the lead capture process because some people may not want to make a phone call or send an email. A form is easy and simple to use. Do not ask for more than the information that you need.
